Sharlene Rochard was born in Ontario, Canada to parents of Trinidad & Tobago and European descent. Sharlene knew exactly where she was going in life from a very early age. At the age of 4 she started performing in plays such as ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas and by age 6 she starred in Alice in Wonderland. At age 13 she was Miss Pre-Teen Canada – and Sharlene’s success as a model and actress blossomed.
The launch of her professional modelling career soon followed. Sharlene became one of the most successful and sought-after models in Canada, featuring in ads for La Vie En Rose (Canada’s Victoria’s Secret), Bluenotes, Parasuco, Levi’s, Sears, Bata Shoes, Bell, and others. By age 17 Sharlene had travelled the world as a model, appearing in campaigns for Paul Mitchell, Aldo, Levi’s, Jockey, One Of, and Ed Hardy. Her picture graced the pages of major magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Shape, Quince, WWD, W, Seventeen, Young Miss (YM), People and Glamour.
Her exotic looks and diversity booked her nationwide ad spots with Budweiser, Payless, Pepsi, McDonald’s, and Chevrolet. In addition to TV commercials, she has featured in music videos by Incubus, Akon feat. Colby O’Donis & Kardinal Offishall, Daniel Bedingfield, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, All-4-One, Gloria Estefan and Mariah Carey.
After studying acting at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and The Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles, she landed her first movie. Her filmography includes “The Little Richard Story” directed by Robert Townsend, “8mm” with Nicolas Cage, and “Any Given Sunday” starring the legendary Al Pacino.
